15 Weeks Today!

Well we are 15 weeks today! I am starting to feel alot better- still real tired but not so queasy.
I ordered a fetal doppler that came Monday I have been able to detect the babys HB twice now so thats reassuring- not the best quality doppler though so I may return it and get another one.
Tanners been off at outdoor school since Mon so I have been missing him, he'll be back tomorrow. I go to the endricrinologist on Friday and have my OB appt Monday. So I'll keep you posted!!

First trimester screening results

I was so happy to hear that the screening results for our first screening that took the nuchal translucency measurements and my bloodwork to come up with these numbers

1; 4,158 for Downs

1; 10,000 Trisomy18

I will have more blood ran in a couple weeks and I hope that turns out great- I am so happy with these numbers!

Baby Tickles

Well I am pretty positive I am feeling the baby moving the past couple days and that it is not just gas! It feels like little pops against my tummy or little nudges- I am 13 weeks 3 days and it is early ... but I am 90% sure that is what I am feeling... I have decided I need to order a doppler so I am going on the hunt for one- Jen gave me the name of one place . I think it will be reassuring for me, plus I want to monitor the heart rate between visits due to my wacky thyroid stuff.....I am quite a bit less queasy now... still pretty dang tired in the afternoons. From 3 pm on I can't hardly keep my eyes open!

I just wanted to take a moment to recognize today as the "birth" day of the baby we lost last year today April,15,2008, at 16 weeks. You were very wanted and loved and someday we will meet again.
Happy birthday to our angel baby.

Nuchal Screening Test Today~

We had our nuchal screening today which included the ultrasound- all looked good but the technician had a little trouble getting the measurements but then finally did get them-It was 1.44 which was good- the first heartbeat was kinda low at 122bpm- but then when it started moving around alot it went up to 160bpm- at one point it was moving around like crazy! In the ultrasound it is the back of the babys head and the arm and hand are up waving!! We will get the results of the ultrasound plus bloodwork in 1- 2 weeks. It was cool to see it moving around so much and I was glad Bucky could be with me to see it and keep me from being so nervous.

Bucky and I purchased our first baby toy this weekend while shopping around Jacksonville OR at this real cute toy store downtown.. it is a fun Lamaze toy!

12 Weeks Today!

Well I am 12 weeks today .. nearing the end of the first trimester. Some stuff says now is the time, other stuff says between 13 and 14 weeks. I am still queasy, especially when cooking meat~! But I am a little less tired. I go in for my nuchal screening Monday and will get to have an ultrasound so that is exciting! Will get to see the baby!

March 30 09- Ob Appt and first baby gift !

March 30 09 had my 4 week OB appt -I was 10 weeks 5 days! The doctor said all looked good and we heard the baby's heartbeat on the doppler at 150 bpm! I told him of my all day sickness and my tiredness and he said to expect it for at least another 3 weeks or more.... Oh Boy!!

I also had a very nice surprise in my mailbox! My friend Heather had sent me a baby gift of a couple of cute onesies and a special card her daughter had drawn and a great book I finished in 5 days Firefly Ln! It was my first baby gift and it was really nice of her to send it! Made my day!

I also have to say it is really cool to be pregnant at the same time as my wonderful sister in law Laurel and my sweet cousin Elizabeth... wish we were closer!

Ultrasound March, 2, 2009

I had a second ultrasound on 3/2 to measure the babys development and see that it had furthered. At this point we had a yolk sac too now and a little jelly bean with a heartbeat! The heartbeat was measuring 136 bpm and the new measurements put me at 6 weeks 5 days which moved my due date to what it is now Oct.22.09.

It was discovered during my thyroid labs that I have an increased anti thyroid antibody. It has to be watched closely as well as with my Graves Disease ( thyroid disorder) my levels also have to be monitored very closely, so I had an appointment with my endricrinologist who now wants to draw labs and see me once a month to check on how everything is going..

Appointments and Such

I am backtracking a little as I havent blogged all long. Feb. 17 . 09 So I was pretty worried at about 5 1/2 weeks- I was having spotting so I did go in and have HCG labs ran- the first time they were 3,200 and then 48 bhrs later they had jumped to 5,850 ( a good thing) I had an ultrasound done where there wasnt really much to see at this point just a gestational sac , no yolk sac or embryo yet... the measurement put me back a week though by measuring the sac to 4 Weeks 5 days.

I had my first OB appt on 2/24 just the regular exam and paperwork- I was prescribed progesterone supplements to take daily to help strengthen the pregnancy... some think it work...others are skeptical of it.

I have been very reluctant to yell out that I am pregnant to all my family and friends as I am scared. After losing the baby last year at 16 weeks and having one prior miscarriage before that I am being very cautious about it.. thats why alot of people don't know yet.. I want to be happy and optimistic and I am trying to be! I am very hopeful that all will turn out well with this baby!

We're Pregnant!!!

I was feeling a little strange in early February and was thinking "I have to be pregnant"- but four negative tests told me I was just cuckoo-- then I still felt wierd symptoms and decided to buy another 2 pack of tests- Well... I tested on lucky Friday the 13th- and TaDa!! 2 Lines!! OH MY!! I was pretty shocked.... I told no one and waited to tell Bucky when he was here that night- so I wrapped up a valentines present and gave it to him... boy was he surprised!! 12 years later- we are going to be parents again...WOW this is life altering ... we sure have some changes in store for us and Tanner will be a big brother! Finally, he has waited so long!!** Thanks to Jen for all her patience on helping me create this blog.. uh um... finally! I know I lagged!
