Before you were conceived I wanted you. Before you were born I loved you. Before you were an hour old I would die for you. This is the miracle of life.

The Park...

I am going out of order but really wanted to write about this while it was fresh in my mind.
Yesterday we were at Tanners baseball game and Coop got so fussy towards the 3rd inning. Nothing was pleasing him, not even a trip to nurse in the Burb. So it was very distracting for the kids to bat while he was screaming so I walked down the path at Fort Rock Park to the playground where I could still see the game but people might not hear the screaming and it might distract Coop. We were the only ones there. I decided to take him out of the front pack and what the heck.. try him in the baby swing .He LOVED it, was giggling and I'd push him him back he'd swing towards me and I'd kiss him every time... Some other kids came down to play and Cooper just watched them while I gently pushed him, he seemed tranced by the turning of the merry go round and the childrens laughter. His eyes grew heavy, and heavier, and heavier and finally he gave up and fell asleep in the swing. The kids left, the game was over, and I continued to gently push hearing his deep sleep breathing. It was dusk now and I watched some bats circle through the trees and could smell the pending rain in the darkened clouds. It was peaceful. I came to a realization. Here I was , the same park I used to take Tanner to, so many years ago, swinging my baby to sleep. I am once again a Mom, taking a baby, then an excited toddler, then maybe a kid a little too big too.. the Park. I felt at peace with this new, yet familiar, chapter in my life. <3

Easter!

I am trying to catch up! Night before Easter we colored eggs, Tan and I.I made a special one with Coopers name on it and Tanner did one with all our initials!Easter morning Coop woke up to his basket, a sippy cup, special book with soft fuzzy farm animals and stuff-he loved the book..
Tanner rolled out of bed eventually but The EB always hides his basket. He didnt find them for so long! (He had 2!)... he got lots of candy, a MAD mag, cell phone, holder, headphones...
We had strawberry/ whipped cream topped waffles for breakfast.
Tanner hunted for eggs in the snow, and we posed Cooper as the Easter Bunny!
For dinner Bucky made a yummy rockfish/shrimp chowder and crabcakes! It was wonderful and a wonderful day! Coopers first Easter was a fun time!
P.S. Easter also marked Coopers 6 month bday!!!

Our Camping Adventure...

I have got to catch up on these posts! About March 19th we went camping for three days, unfortunately the weather did not cooperate, but we had fun anyways! The first day we went over to Applegate and set up a camp. Coop and I slept in the back of the Burb, Tan and Buck tented it. Bucky BBQ'd our burgers in the rain! We had smores...

The next day we went to Crescent City,CA the plan was to hang some at the beach then head over to The Redwoods. IT POURED! We didnt even get down to the beach :(.. we had chinese food in a hotel in Crescent.. OH WELL! Next day still raining but not quite as bad. We did walk through the Redwoods. It is the most beautiful of forests in my opinion! The rain made it all so much even greener than usual- we walked down to this river spot...gorgeous! We then started heading back and made it back to the Medford area, we were going to camp again but it was getting dark and still drizzly so we stayed in a small cabin in the campground..with heat! It had bunkbeds and a kitchen... it was fun! Bucky bbq'd hotdogs- it was fun. Tanner really wanted to go to The Oregon Caves... so we drove there.. unfortunately Coop wasn't allowed in so we hung in the car, it was more a Buck/Tan thing. They sounded really amazing! I have a pic to post.

Then we headed on home. The car ride was a little rough with Coopster. Least we know what to expect for when we head to SLO soon!
